The sales rep at the builder's model represents the builder's interests, not yours. Your Realtor represents you and advocates on your behalf. You do not pay the real estate fees, for using a Realtor, the builder does. Not having an agent does not reduce your home cost.
Keep in mind the builder will require that your Realtor accompany you and register you on your first visit to the builder's model home or community.
